Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited uses of the Lemma platform and related services. The examples described in this AUP are not exhaustive. We may modify this AUP at any time by posting a revised version on our website. By using the Service, you agree to the latest version of this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account. If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, you are encouraged to report it to abuse@getlemma.io.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Service to engage in or promote illegal activities, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, or the distribution of illegal content. You may not impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or computer systems or networks connected to the Service. You may not use the Service to distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code. You may not use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our prior written consent.

3. Content Standards

You may not submit, post, or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. You may not post false or misleading information about your skills, qualifications, or experience. Skill verification on Lemma relies on honest participation. You may not collude with other users to fraudulently inflate skill scores, manipulate session outcomes, or fabricate evidence of competence. Such behavior undermines the trust network and will result in immediate account termination.

4. Platform Integrity

You may not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service. You may not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our express written authorization. You may not use the Service in a manner that could overload, damage, or impair the Service or interfere with any other party's use of the Service. Rate limits and usage quotas exist to ensure fair access for all users and must be respected.

5. Enforcement

Lemma reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates this AUP, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting violations to law enforcement authorities. We may also cooperate with law enforcement in prosecuting users who violate criminal laws. If your account is suspended or terminated for a violation of this AUP, you may not create a new account without our prior written consent. Any credits or balances in your account may be forfeited upon termination for cause.
