Accessibility Statement

How accessible Lemma is today, what we are working on, and how to tell us.

Version 1.0 · In effect from 15 October 2026 · Permanent link to this version

1. Our position, stated plainly

1.1 We want Lemma to be usable by people with disabilities. We are not yet able to say it fully is, and this statement says so honestly rather than claiming a conformance level we have not tested.

1.2 The European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882, as transposed into Cyprus law, has applied since 28 June 2025. It covers e-commerce services and consumer services provided electronically, which includes Lemma.

1.3 We are currently within the microenterprise exemption in Art. 4(5) of that Directive: we employ fewer than 10 persons and our annual turnover does not exceed €2 million, or our annual balance sheet total does not exceed €2 million. Microenterprises providing services are exempt from the Directive's accessibility requirements.

1.4 We rely on that exemption today. We do not intend to rely on it for long, and we do not treat it as a reason to build an inaccessible product.

2. What we are aiming for

2.1 As a voluntary target, we build to EN 301 549 (the European harmonised standard for ICT accessibility) and, within it, to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

2.2 This is a commitment about how we build, not a claim about what we have achieved. Section 3 states where we actually are.

3. Current conformance status

3.1 We have not yet had the service audited, and we make no conformance claim. We do not say that Lemma conforms, partially or fully, to WCAG 2.1 AA.

3.2 We will commission an evaluation of https://getlemma.io and https://app.getlemma.io against EN 301 549 / WCAG 2.1 AA before the exemption in section 1.3 ends, and will then publish the result here: the method, the date, who carried it out, each non-conformity found and when we expect to fix it.

4. Areas we will test first

4.1 Live video Sessions, where captioning, keyboard control of call functions and screen-reader labelling of call controls are commonly weak.

4.2 Timed adaptive assessments, where time limits can disadvantage Users with disabilities. If a time limit is a barrier for you, tell us at support@getlemma.io and we will work out an alternative with you. We do not ask for medical evidence.

5. Alternatives and accommodations

5.1 If a part of Lemma is not usable for you, contact us and we will try to provide the same thing another way — for example a transcript, an alternative format, or a supported route through a task — while we fix the underlying problem.

5.2 We do not charge for an accommodation and we do not ask you to prove a disability in order to get help with a broken interface.

6. Feedback and how to reach us

6.1 Accessibility problems, requests for information in an accessible format, and complaints: support@getlemma.io.

6.2 Tell us the page or feature, what you were trying to do, what happened, and the assistive technology and browser you were using if you know it. Any detail helps; none is required.

6.3 Our response time: we acknowledge within 5 working days and give a substantive reply — what we found, what we will do, and by when — within 20 working days.

6.4 If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the competent Cyprus authority responsible for enforcing the national law that transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882.

7. When the exemption ends

7.1 The Art. 4(5) exemption applies only while we remain a microenterprise. It is lost as soon as we no longer meet both limbs of the test — fewer than 10 persons employed, and turnover or balance sheet total not exceeding €2 million.

7.2 Headcount is not the only trigger, and often not the first one. The microenterprise definition applies the EU SME criteria in Recommendation 2003/361/EC, under which the staff and financial figures of linked and partner enterprises are aggregated with our own. An investment round that gives an investor control of, or a qualifying stake in, the Company can therefore aggregate that investor's group figures with ours and end the exemption immediately — long before we have ten employees.

7.3 We will review our status against these criteria at each financial year end, and immediately after any investment, acquisition or restructuring. When the exemption ends, the Directive's accessibility requirements apply to the service in full, and we will update this statement to a tested conformance claim.
