What Agile competence looks like

Someone good at agile delivery cares about flow, not rituals. They slice work small enough to finish, keep work in progress low and notice when a sprint goal has quietly become a wish list. Stand-ups stay short because blockers get raised and solved, not narrated.

They also adapt the method to the team. A retrospective ends with one change someone owns. Estimates are a planning tool, not a promise to be punished. When Scrum is too heavy for a support team, they reach for Kanban without making it a religious debate, and they can explain the trade-off clearly.

What counts as evidence of Agile skills?

There is no compiler for Agile, so the record has to come from people and decisions. Lemma counts sessions with other practitioners, an adaptive test of scenario questions and peer confirmations.   1. Run a session as facilitator

    Book a live session and facilitate a short planning, refinement or retro exercise with a practitioner. They rate how you guide the conversation and whether it ends with clear, owned actions.

  2. Answer delivery scenarios

    The adaptive assessment uses realistic team situations, from overcommitted sprints to blocked dependencies. Each answer moves the difficulty, and questions are timed so you rely on experience.

  3. Build a reliable record over time

    Agile is about consistency, and so is the score. Turning up to sessions, avoiding late cancellations and keeping evidence recent all strengthen your agile record more than a single strong result.

Agile skills: common questions

How do I prove agile experience in an interview?

Describe a specific change you made to how a team works and what happened next: a retro action that stuck, a story you split differently, a work-in-progress limit you introduced. Concrete outcomes beat framework vocabulary. On Lemma, facilitating a live session gives you rated evidence of that practice.

Is a Scrum certification the same as agile skill?

A Scrum certification shows you know the framework's rules and roles. Agile skill is applying them well with a real team, including knowing when to adapt them. Lemma assesses the applied side through live facilitation sessions and scenario questions, which complement any certification you hold.

What agile scenarios come up in the Lemma assessment?
